"Troi"

BIF DC Rare Earth's Counselor Troi LCM3, CD, SC, CGC, NA, NAJ, VC

September 23, 1993 to December 27, 2002

Troi's temperament was that of a "schooling pony". She was steady, stoic, consistent, long suffering, and patient with novice or inexperienced handlers, including me. Troi would go anywhere and generally do anything for anybody. She was good with children and was my daughter's best buddy. I also could turn her out with any visiting or foster dog without fear of a conflict. Troi was so easy to have around you hardly knew she was there!

Coursing was Troi's reward. Her career was on the same stage and time period as some of the great running Ridgebacks: her sisters, Lexie and Soupy; Phoebe; Star; Maggie Mae; Ida and Troi's good friend, Sophie, to name just a few. Troi was always there holding her own, was never lame, we never saw her pant and she was always game for another run. For a couple years, she decided to test the time limits of course delay penalties. Troi was a hoot to watch run. She was very fast, but later in her career, many times she went in her own direction! In Troi's lifetime she ran in 188 trials! In the eight years she ran, she was in the top 20 RR's 6 of those years, including being #4, #7 and #8! We are proud for all that Troi was able to accomplish in her life, but most of all we are thankful we were blessed with her presence in ours.
