“Nitro” is a sweet, happy and easy going boy. From day one he was the clown, constantly pestering our other Ridgeback, Meisie, who is a saint for putting up with his antics. He was and still is, like that pesky little brother that just doesn’t know when to quit teasing. We hope he never grows up.

Who knew that silly little puppy would accomplish so much in his first three years. His laid back attitude makes him a joy at home and his enthusiasm on the coursing/racing field makes him a joy to watch run. At just three years of age he has completed his Conformation Championship, both his AKC and ASFA Field Championships, his ASFA LCM, his Gazehound Racing Championship, and his Obedience CD, which gives him his RRCUS Versatility Certificate. Nitro is also active in Therapy Dog work, taking one afternoon per month out of his busy schedule to visit his friends at a local nursing home. Nitro is also dabbling in tracking, sheep herding and agility.

Nitro did not begin his lure coursing career until he completed his Conformation Championship in late 2006. He is a Best In Field winner and a multiple Best Of Breed winner in lure coursing, and YES, he has the Rare Earth "BAG SHREDDING GENE".
