Paul has had a very active career. He probably would have been more successful with a better handler!
Paul finished his conformation championship before he was two years old and even became best of breed when he was shown in the 9-12 months class!
During the 2002 Nationals (owner handled) Paul won the Field Champion dog class and ended up with the first select
award in the triathlon!!
In 2007 he won third place in the Field Champion dog class while he was the oldest dog in the class. He won third place in the veteran class (9-11 years) in 2009 and finished his ASFA Field Championship, which included taking Best of Breed at the region VI regional.
his ASFA veteran field championship and his
, his open agility standard and jumpers and has one
leg towards his excellent jumpers, (including his high in trial at the
national specialty in 2002 from the novice class!),
he has his straight racing title (GRC)
he has one leg toward his CD and his

What I like about him--his head is the best I've ever put on a dog--he is a
nice moderate dog 27.25inches and 94lbs- but does not lack bone- solid rear -his side go
is very nice- temperment he is bold but takes correction without
melting--very sweet-not people shy-very high prey drive!! Loves straight line! He is my buddy and best friend!
Paul is retired and a couch potato-but I have his frozen semen -contact redfern@cvm.msu.edu for his breeding record

"Hazel"
CH Rare Earth’s Element of Surprize, FCH, NA, NAJ, NJP, RN, CD, VFCh VC
Ch Gamlyn's Starlight Navigator X Ch Summit's Lake Effect Star LCM3 OAJ, NA CGC VFCh VC
12-5-2001
The golden retriever in a ridgeback body-she loves to be close (as in inside your skin!) and to be pet endlessly.
Hazel, as a young dog, quickly finished her novice agility standard and jumpers titles. Unfortunately after a fall off a teeter (going too fast) she decided agility wasn't fun anymore so we moved onto lure coursing-which is an activity that she thoroughly enjoys. Hazel finished her ASFA field championship in 8 trials. Hazel then demonstrated how smart she is by quickly figuring out the game! She still runs with amazing speed, agility and determination-but most times in the opposite direction from where she should be going. I keep entering her in trials because she is a hoot to watch run and she makes me smile everytime! Hazel lived up to her name at the last International invitational in Kansas when she ended up winning Best of Breed on Sun to win the Ida trophy from the veteran class!
In conformation Hazel finished with a 4 point major going BOS over specials and when she is shown at the nationals she places in the classes she is entered in.
Hazel finished her obedience title (CD) in the fall of 2008 to complete the requirements for her versatility certificate from RRCUS. Along the way she earned her Rally Novice title.
Hazel is a very special girl and has many fans--she is quite a character and we love her to pieces!

Wanda is my daughters dog--very loyal and affectionate--
Wanda's claim to fame is her coursing ability! Wanda's best year was when she and her littermates competed extensively in 2007 and Wanda was #1 ASFA ridgeback! Since then we have not been to as many trials but Wanda has continued to be in the top twenty. Wanda did win the region VI BOB in WI in 2008 to bring home the "Ol Goat" trophy. Wanda is a huge joy to have in our house and we can't imagine life without her

"Spike"
Comet’s Hare Remover, LCM (our token whippet)
11-30-01
Spike is our special alien dog!l--He is the brindle whippet we got from Les and Sherri Pekarski of Comet whippets so that we could have a coursing dog that didn't try to remove your shoulders at the start line. Turns out that at the beginning he would not run for me -but would course like a blue angel for my daughter! Spike won his FCh stake at the 2003 International invitational-since then he has apparently spent too much time with Hazel and now runs "creatively".
